New Life Pentecostal Church

Our Values and Beliefs

The  Five Core Values that inspire our Church and its life

  • Real Worship
  • Relevant Teaching
  • Passionate Prayer
  • Genuine Friendship
  • Enthusiastic Evangelism

At NLPC we want to see God work in us to make us the kind of people He wants us to be. He is the One who causes the growth in our lives. He asks us to plant the seed of His love with our friends and in the community. He waters those seeds in our lives through worship, prayer, study and fellowship.

Our Five Core Values:

1) Real Worship
Worship is a duty but also a great joy to us as Christians. It is a privilege to enter the presence of the Lord in the knowledge that we are welcomed and accepted. Even more important than worship in the church building is that we live lives which, by their standards of behaviour, love and purity demonstrate our reverence for God (Ephesians 4:1. Romans 12:1,2).

2) Relevant teaching
We need to make space in our lives for God to speak to us through the Bible. More importantly this teaching then needs to be applied to our lives.

3) Passionate prayer
Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God, the times when we ask Him to be involved in our lives and the lives of those we love and care for.

4) Genuine friendship
As a church we want to be warm and welcoming to visitors and to care for and support each other, just like a close family. We will try to establish quality friendships and authentic relationships with non-members.

5) Enthusiastic evangelism
We believe that many people are searching for the real meaning of life and that this can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus. We are committed to letting as many people as possible know this both locally and internationally.
